Last June, we were walking around the Grand Place area in Brussels, and all of a sudden we see people walking in the street dressed as if was centuries ago, with elaborate outfits and even on horses as well. One after the other they were all staging for something at Grand Place.
I later found out that it was called Ommegang a festival that goes on for several days as you relive history back to 1549. I enjoyed these images even more than if I had been seating in the seats set up in the square.
Lessons learned? The best camera and lens combo to have, is the one you actually have with you at any given time. You never know what will happen.
The fuji x system and 35mm equivalent lens, does the trick for me on the street most of the time.
